A Great Man Has Fallen in Israel!
“…"Do you not know that a prince and a great man has fallen this day in Israel?” II Samuel 3:38 (NKJV)
These words were spoken by David when he lamented the death of Abner at the hand of Joab.
It is with heavy hearts that we at Summit inform you that the Founder and Chancellor of Summit Theological Seminary left this life at 3:30 A.M. today, February 24th, 2021. The words that David spoke of Abner are just as appropriate today in reference to Brother George and they were when they were first uttered.
Brother Faull was a friend, teacher, preacher, and mentor to countless people all across the country and in numerous other countries as well. His writings have gone far and wide giving instruction to multiple generations of those who desire to understand God’s Word. His teaching and leadership have been instrumental in the lives of so many but also to countless congregations and Christian organizations. His passing leaves a large hole in his family, the Church at Grissom, here at Summit, and across the brotherhood as a whole.
When he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma he had asked for prayer that he would not suffer. Many of us have been praying that ever since. He never had to have anything strong for pain until his last evening on this earth and then only a small amount. Praise the Lord for answered prayers. About a month ago he was diagnosed with a number of other conditions including renal failure. He chose to stay at home and call in hospice. His passing was peaceful with his son by his side.
We are certain that Brother George is being comforted in Abraham’s Bosom, a.k.a. "Paradise", at this very moment. He has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, he has kept the faith. There is laid up for him a crown of righteousness, II Timothy 4:7-8.
Please keep the Faull family in your prayers. We trust that the God of comfort will comfort them in their sorrow.
